Strangers in the world of Robots...

"Write an email to your teacher after you have received your results, particularly if you think you have learn't something useful in his class, this would make him feel that he is making a positive difference in peoples lives, and help him develop into a better teacher, and on your part, it will show that you are grateful and noble."  The lesson I give in my classes.

Have received many emails telling me that learning Psychology has made a difference in students lives and improved the way they see life and behavior.

But, those I wrote, were never replied to.......

Sometimes this makes me wonder,

"Have we grown into machines, which are no longer familiar with gratitude and gratefulness?"

"You look so handsome in this smart hat, that I thought I would take a selfie with you"  I said to the Airport Security Officer, smiling, expecting a smile in return, thinking, this would make him happy, instead, he got a bit irritated.

"Molvi Sab, Come here."  He said,

"You know Selfie is Haraam, and taking pictures is Haraam too, and you should not take a selfie or a picture of yourself or others"

He wanted to go on, but I decided to say Ok and told him that I'll be careful next time and marched on towards security clearance, thinking, how strange we have become.

Thought, my positive psychology may work among fellow students in my class, while passing a sheet of paper to a fellow classmate, I gave a courteous smile, all I got back was a blank face with the expression as if a heinous crime has been committed.

"Where are we going," I thought....

We don't say Thank you to those who stop and give way...

We don't say Thank you to shopkeeper who sells valuables to us..

We don't say Thank you to our teachers, our fellows, our friends, our juniors, our colleagues.... What have we become???

Strangers in the crowd of robots!!!
